A winter weather advisory is in effect for Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The local area can expect snow accumulations of two to three inches, the National Weather Service said in the advisory statement.

“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous  conditions will likely impact the Friday evening commute,” the weather service said.

Daytime highs should top out at about 31º Friday, with wind chill values between 20 and 25.

Colder temperatures are in the forecast for the weekend,  with a high in the mid-20s Saturday and in the upper 20s and sunny skies on Sunday.
