Three people were arrested for allegedly selling alcohol to someone under 21 years old during a compliance check yesterday at 16 retail locations by Riverhead Town Police, the police department said in a press release.
Thirteen of the 16 locations checked were found to be in compliance with applicable laws, police said.
Employees at three locations were charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree, police said.
Police said the following individuals were arrested, processed and released on desk appearance tickets: Huang Lian Sheng, an employee of The Thirsty Cellar at 6324 NY-25A Unit #4 in Wading River; Brijeshbhai Patel, an employee of One Stop Smoke Shop at 1698 Old Country Road in Riverhead; and Laura Bohn, an employee of (Sound Avenue Liquors), 5085 Sound Avenue, in Riverhead.
The compliance check was completed with the assistance of the Riverhead Community Awareness Program, police said.

- Valero, 5904 -25A, Wading Riverhead
- Wines by Nature, 5768 -25A, suite I, Wading River
- Riverhead Liquor Mart, 1866 Old Country Road, River
- EHP Liquors, 1774 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Riverhead Beverage, 998 Osborn Avenue, Riverhead
- Walgreens, 1196 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- CVS, 1140 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Roanoke Plaza Liquor, 1096 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Wine Mart, 757 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Gala Fresh, 795 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Peconic Wine & Liquor, 184 Old Country Road, Riverhead
- Tobacco King / Beer Cave & Beverage, 1451 Main Road, Jamesport
