The Riverhead girls basketball team was upset by William Floyd Wednesday night at Riverhead High School. The Blue Waves fell to Floyd, 38-28.
Riverhead took an early lead, then ended up tied at halftime with a last second 3-pointer by Floyd to bring it up to 13-all.
The second half saw William Floyd jump out in front and never relinquish the lead.
Riverhead, now 6-3 overall, travels to Walt Whitman for their next matchup on Friday. The game starts at 4:15 p.m.
