Donate food and get a beer on the house at Twin Fork Beer Co. in Riverhead through the end of the year.
Twin Fork Beer Co., owned and operated by brothers Pete and Dan Chekijian, have held a food drive every year at their Raynor Avenue brewery, with donations in past years going to Island Harvest food bank.
This year, the brothers decided to keep it local, Pete Chekijian said in a phone interview today.
Items they collect are distributed to three Riverhead food pantries: Open Arms Care Center, Church of the Harvest and St. John’s.
The brewery distributes the donations every two weeks, Pete Chekijian said.
“We started at the beginning of November and will keep it going until the end of the year,” he said. It’s been a success every year, he said.
Twin Fork Beer Co. is located at 897 Raynor Avenue in Riverhead.
