Portions of Main Street in Riverhead will be closed Sunday morning for snow removal, Riverhead Highway Superintendent Mike Zaleski said.

Town highway crews will be removing snow from gutters and sidewalks beginning at 5 a.m. Sunday, weather permitting, Zaleski said.

Snow removal will rake e place from Union Avenue to Roanoke Avenue and from Roanoke Avenue to Griffing Avenue. Traffic flow on Peconic and Roanoke avenues will not be impeded, he said.

Zaleski said he expects the work to be done by noon.
