Thomas Henry Boucher of Cutchogue died July 19, 2026. He was 72 years old.
Born Dec. 27, 1953, in Brooklyn, he was the son of Ruth (Hollenbach) and William Boucher. He graduated from Islip High School and went on to Suffolk County Community College, where he earned an associate degree. He married Anne (Molloy) Aug. 6, 1983, at St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church in Patchogue, and the couple later made their home in Cutchogue, raising four children. He worked as an operating manager at the Brookhaven National Laboratory Water Treatment Plant in Upton and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. His family said music was central to his life; a guitarist, he played with the bands Wedge, A.R.T.work and the Elderly Brothers, and he enjoyed teaching guitar to students throughout Southold Town and through East End Arts Council.
He is survived by his wife Anne; his children, John (Kim Bevan) of Summit, New Jersey, Thomas L. (Michaela) of Redding, California, Caitrian Myers (Jonathan) of Arlington, Virginia, and Taryn (Marc Hartmann) of Nashville, Tennessee; his siblings, Cliff (Susan) of Clarksville, Maryland, and Bill (Ronnie) of West Islip; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Friday, July 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Mattituck, officiated by Father Michael Bartholomew. The rite of committal will be private.
