Eleanor Conrardy of Southold died Aug. 21, 2026, at home. She was 98 years old.

Born May 22, 1928, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Agnes (McAndrew) and Peter Bertos and was one of two children. Raised in Brooklyn, she graduated from high school in 1946 and moved to Babylon in 1947. She married S. Joseph Conrardy Sept. 10, 1949, at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Babylon, and the couple made their home in Babylon before moving to Southold in 1968. In her professional career, she worked as a drafter for New York Telephone Co. in Patchogue. She was a member of St. Patrick’s R.C. Church in Southold and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She was predeceased by her husband, S. Joseph Conrardy, and her sister, Loretta Marshall. She is survived by her children, Richard Conrardy (Deborah) of Southold and Gayle Savage (Michael) of Southold; and four grandchildren.
The liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church in Southold, officiated by Father Abraham Thannickal. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kent Animal Shelter or North Fork Animal Welfare League. Arrangements were entrusted to DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold.
