Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley) won a third term in Congress Tuesday, defeating Democratic challenger Perry Gershon of East Hampton 52 percent to 46 percent. But Democrats took control of the House, meaning Zeldin for the first time will be serving as a minority member when the 116th Congress convenes in January.
