Health insurance premiums see double-digit rise in 2017; Care Connect rate hike will be twice the state average increase
New York State mandated a more than 23 percent increase in Care Connect's small group rates — affecting 70,000 members — in part to cover a $13.5 million payment into a risk adjustment pool to offset costs incurred by other health insurance companies.
