None of the three incidents involving students falling ill at Riverhead High School in recent days is believed to be related to opioids or fentanyl, Riverhead Police Chief David Hegermiller told RiverheadLOCAL this morning.

The Suffolk County Sheriff's Office said a Manorville man had more than 100 pot plants growing in a subterranean grow house concealed beneath a utility storage building on a wooded lot. Sheriff's deputies confiscated more than 30 pounds of marijuana in a Sept. 19 raid, according to the report.

Deantae Jackson, 19, was arrested on three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree after officers executed a search warrant at his home yesterday, police said.

The return of the Juvenile Drug Treatment Court in Suffolk County is good news for parents and families.
