Food drive

The second annual "We Huddle to Help" flag football event took place Saturday at Stotzky Park in Riverhead to support local food pantries.

Riverhead Ford wants your help filling up the bed of a truck with food for local families in need. Nonperishable food donations can be dropped off at the dealership’s showroom on Old Country Road through the end of the month.

PSEG Long Island and Stop & Shop are teaming up again this summer to collect food for Island Harvest Food Bank and will be collecting food donations at the Riverhead Stop & Shop on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The National Association of Letter Carriers and the United States Postal Service will hold the 25th-annual “Stamp Out Hunger” campaign Saturday, the country’s largest single-day food drive.

In the past six years, BNB's staff and customers have contributed more that $100,000 toward local food banks through the annual Apple Campaign.
