The 2018 season for downtown Riverhead's popular 'Alive on 25' street festival kicks off Thursday, with live music and dancing in the street, food, beverages, and activities for kids— capped off with a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.

Two of Riverhead's most festive holiday celebrations will be held tomorrow as one big Christmas event in downtown Riverhead.

Visitors to the Alive on 25 festival filled the streets of downtown Riverhead last night, where there was plenty of food, music and fun for all ages up and down Main Street.

The next scheduled downtown street festival is slated for July 27. Tonight's event will likely be moved to the Aug. 31 rain date.

Riverhead BID plans to allocate the largest portion of its budget this year to the street fair, which will include outdoor dining on Main Street and live music at multiple stages.
