Downtown Riverhead’s Alive on 25 street festival will make its 2018 debut Thursday.

Main Street will be closed to traffic from Griffing Avenue to Union Avenue from 3:30 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m. There will be no parking on Main Street beginning at 2 p.m.

Visitors should use the municipal parking lots north of Main Street, including the lot on Griffing Avenue at Railroad Avenue and on Court Street and Osborn Avenue. Parking is also available at the county center in Riverside. The festival is offering two shuttle buses for guests this Thursday: one from the county center parking lot and the other from the Court Street parking lot (south side).

Thursday’s weather forecast is looking good. It will be sunny and warm during the afternoon, with temperatures in the mid-80s, then partly cloudy and temperatures in the mid-70s Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Alive on 25 is presented by the Riverhead Business Improvement District with the support of season sponsor BNB Bank and more than a dozen local businesses, including this website.
