RIverhead Idol

Youth in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in the popular vocal contest, which takes place Jan. 19. Auditions take place this week and next at Riverhead High School and Riverhead Middle School.

Open auditions will take place at the town's Shade Tree Lane community center tomorrow, Jan. 18 from 2:30 to 4:30 or by appointment.

If you're a talented Riverhead teen, you might end up as the winner of the first Riverhead's Got Talent competition. You'll never know unless you try, so why not give it a shot?

The final production of 'Riverhead Idol' takes place tomorrow, May 22. Next year, the popular vocal showcase will give way to a 'Riverhead's Got Talent' competition, in which singing and other talents will be showcased.
