Riverhead Veterans Advisory Committee

Riverhead’s Hometown Heroes banners are clean and ready to be installed along Main Street in time for Memorial Day, thanks to the efforts of the Riverhead NJROTC. The cadets cleaned the 110 banners featuring the names and photos of local residents who served in the U.S. military.

Riverhead Veterans Advisory Committee and the Riverhead BID are seeking applications for the Veterans Tribute Banner project. Honor a veteran with a banner to be displayed on Main Street in honor of Memorial Day or Veterans Day, beginning next year.

U.S. Navy E4 Klycia Cadore was one of 17 female service members and veterans who attended the "Operation Eagle Heart" dinner at Polish Hall Sunday evening.

A Veterans Wall of Honor honoring Riverhead High School graduates who went on to serve in the military is being planned by the town's veterans advisory committee for the high school.
