The Riverhead IDA approved the application of Wolf Properties and Long Beard Brewing Co. for tax benefits for restoration and renovation of the Second Street firehouse. Long Beard plans to build a Viking ship-themed tasting room in a portion of the first floor.

Riverhead BID officials are still looking for a home for the indoor farmers' market, which is supposed to begin the first Saturday in November. Last winter's location is not likely going to be available because the building owner is set to sign a lease with a dollar store, according to BID president Ray Pickersgill.
