The investigation of Saturday's incidents has led to the arrests of two other Riverhead residents, including a Mill Road resident who police said cut Brown's handcuffs off with a hacksaw when she stopped at the home, with police in pursuit, after she escaped from custody at Peconic Bay Medical Center and stole an occupied vehicle from the T.J. Maxx parking lot.

A prostitution sting in the area of the traffic circle in Riverside last night resulted in the arrests of seven men for patronizing a prostitute and two other men on other charges.

Southampton Town Police said two passengers in a vehicle stopped for a traffic infraction had drugs, packaging, scale and a lot of cash in their possession.

Police charged Anthony Jenkins, 50, with criminal mischief. They said he smashed the windows of the cars on Riverside Avenue, Flanders Road, Brookhaven Avenue, and Albany Avenue and stole money from the cars.

Southampton Town Police lieutenant Monday put the number of reported vehicle break-ins at 42 to date. Police are asking the public to report any intrusions into parked vehicles, even if nothing is taken and no damage is done.

Southampton Town Police detectives are working to identify the victim in a fatal motor vehicle crash on Flanders Road Saturday night.

More than 40 cars have been broken into right in their owners' driveways — many have had their windows smashed with a brick or large stone— over the past couple of weeks in Flanders.

The armed men forced their way into an Old Quogue Road Saturday, tied up and robbed its occupants of cash, phones, credit cards and wallets, according to Southampton Town Police. Two NYC women were charged with prostitution and the man police said was operating the prostitution business out of the home was charged with promoting prostitution, police said.
