RiverheadLOCAL photographer Peter Blasl rode with Highway Superintendent Gio Woodson Tuesday afternoon to capture the epic storm and flooding in pictures and video.
The heavy rains that washed over Riverhead the past two days left local roads, fields and even homes under water. Many roads were closed by the flooding.
Volunteer firefighters scrambled to try to pump out flooded basements all over town.
