One person was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center with minor injuries Wednesday after their car slipped on ice and hit the building, according to police at the scene.
The car was attempting to pull into a parking spot at about 1:20 p.m. when it slipped on ice in the parking lot, police said. The building sustained non-structural damage to its wood siding.
The car was occupied by one other person who was not injured, police said.
Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded.
