Two people were injured in a T-bone crash at the intersection of Horton and Reeves avenues this afternoon.
A black Honda civic, westbound on Reeves Avenue entered the intersection with Horton Avenue into the path of a southbound Mercury convertible, which broadsided the Honda. The impact of the crash sent the Honda careening off the roadway and into a farm field.
Both drivers were transported by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police. Neither vehicle carried any passengers.
The accident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
