Riverhead Police are searching for two men who robbed a man on Sweezey Avenue last night.

Police said they responded to a report of a disturbance at 379 Sweezey Avenue last light at about 9:10 p.m. Upon arrival, patrol units located an Hispanic male who reported being the victim of a robbery.

The victim, identified as 37 Year old Jose Cesar Siquin Bajxac, reported that two black males chased him into his front yard and pushed him to the ground. They began to repeatedly punch him about the face as they searched through his pockets and removed a Motorola cell phone from his person, police said.

The victim was able to yell for help and summon several of his friends from within the residence, according to a police press release.

When they came to his aid and approached the assailants, one of the men  pulled out a knife and threatened several of the victim’s friends before fleeing the area on bicycles.

The victim describes his attackers as being in their mid- to late-20s, both wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black jeans. Same were last seen south on Sweezey Aveue.
