Light snow overnight has left a coating of new snow on some untreated roads in central and eastern Suffolk County. 1/2 to 1 inch of new snow has fallen in some areas. The highest amounts have been over the twin forks where locally up to 2 inches may have fallen.
Snowfall that is occurring as of 230 am…over the twin forks…is forecast to taper off to flurries by sunrise.
