Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Town of Riverhead Police Department seek the public’s help to identify and locate two men wanted in connection with the shooting of two people in Riverhead earlier this month.
Riverhead Police responded to the corner of Grove Street and South Oakland Drive on August 1after a 911 caller reported two people had been shot at approximately 10:30 p.m. When police arrived, they found a female, 18, and a male, 19, each with a gunshot wound to the arm. They were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
One suspect is described as a black male, late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. The other suspect is described as a black male, in his early 20s and approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
