The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a flood advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas for central Suffolk County in southeastern New York until 7 a.m. EDT

At 4:59 a.m. Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include… Riverhead… Southhampton… Westhampton… Shinnecock Hills… Quogue… East Quogue… Jamesport… Remsenburg-Speonk… Aquebogue… Flanders… Peconic River And Hampton Bays.
