The fourth annual “Paddle Battle Long Island” drew about 150 participants to the Peconic Riverfront this morning for stand-up paddle board, kayak and canoe races.

The races consisted of  2.5-mile, 5-mile and 12-mile courses. The races were followed by a family barbecue and music.

“It was a beautiful day for the race today,” said East End Tourism Alliance co-founder Bryan DeLuca, who is the executive director of the L.I. Aquarium and Exhibition Center in Riverhead.

Paddle Battle Long Island, hosted by the East End Tourism Alliance,  raised funds for the nonprofit organization United Way’s VetsBuild Program.

Race results will be posted on the Paddle Battle Long Island website later on today, DeLuca said.
