Soon students from the South Fork won’t have to travel to Riverhead’s East End Arts campus for music lessons. Starting this September, the school plans on opening a satellite site to serve its South Fork families.

The school will collaborate with the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center to offer private and group music lessons on Saturdays at BHCCRC campus, located at 551 Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton.

“East End Arts is thrilled to have this opportunity to answer the demand for music instruction on the South Fork. By partnering with BHCCRC, we are able to better serve our East End community by offering a conveniently-located satellite of our school’s main Riverhead campus, and at the same time provide scholarships to local children who otherwise would not have the life-changing opportunity to learn a musical instrument,” said East End Arts Education Director Diane Giardi.

At its South Fork satellite location in Bridgehampton, the East End Arts School will offer private music lessons for children and adults in voice, violin, guitar, piano, and band and orchestral instruments. Programs will commence the week of September 12, 2016. In addition, group guitar lessons will be offered at the Bridgehampton satellite on Saturday mornings during the Fall 2016 semester, and more group lessons will be added in 2017.

“We are very excited to be able to expand to instruments beyond our keyboards with our new partnership with East End Arts. This is a fabulous opportunity to bring music into the lives of children and their families on the South Fork,” said Bonnie Michelle Cannon, Executive Director of the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center.

Advance registration is required for all private and group music lessons by emailing the East End Arts School or by calling 631-369-2171.
