A few hundred hungry people turned out for Riverhead Rotary’s annual  pancake breakfast today at Polish Hall.

The breakfast is a fall tradition benefitting the service club, with funds raised going to support numerous charitable organizations in the community. Guests feasted on three different types of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The little ones enjoyed balloon animals and face-painting.

A large contingent of cadets from the Riverhead High School NJROTC and members of the high schools Interact Club helped with setup, serving and cleanup.

Club president Beth Hanlon thanked the students for their help as well as the many local businesses sponsors that helped make the event successful.
