A blizzard warning has been issued for Suffolk County.
The blizzard warning is in effect from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow, the National Weather Service in Upton said in a warning issued at 3:17 p.m.
Snow accumulations of 10 to 14 inches, with locally higher amounts, are forecast.
Heavy, wet snow with north winds gusting to 45 mph will create hazardous travel conditions tomorrow.Visibilities will be reduced to one-quarter mile or less at times. Residents should remove parked cars from town roads. Vehicles left in the streets are subject to towing and impound, Riverhead Town said in a press release.
Local power outages with downed trees and power lines are possible.
PSEG-LI said it is ready for tomorrow’s storm.
“While power is usually not affected by snow, the combination of wet snow and windy conditions can increase the likelihood of downed wires and power outages,” the utility said in a press release.
If you see any downed wire, assume it is a live electric wire and report it immediately.
“We urge parents to check for downed wires in areas where children might play,” the utility said.

Residential trash collection will start one hour earlier at 5 a.m. in municipal garbage districts tomorrow.
