Albert J. Beck of Aquebogue died on July 18, 2017. He was 80 years old.

Born on September 9, 1936 in Glendale to Albert T. Beck and Caroline Webber, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. He worked as an aviation navigator at Grumman in Calverton.

He was a long-standing member and officer of the Riverhead Moose Lodge and an avid RC airplane hobbyist.

He is survived by his long-time companion Pat Shima, daughters Carol Beck of Maryland, Sandra Larsen of Georgia, son Kevin Beck of Holbrook, brother John Beck of New Jersey and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21 from 2 to 4 p.m and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Saturday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Pinelawn, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
