Riverhead Free Library is hosting several free programs designed to help people who would like to start a home business.
The first of the workshops will be run by the Stony Brook Small Business Development Center. Personnel from the Stony Brook incubator will lead a workshop at the library on Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. Participants will learn how to develop the entrepreneurial qualities needed for a home-based business.
Two follow-up classes given by a local credit union representative entitled ‘Loans, Bookkeeping, Accounting, Oh My!’ will focus on the basic knowledge necessary for running a small business.
Those classes will be held on Jan. 30 from 1 to 2 p.m. and Feb. 26 from 5 to 6 p.m.
To register for any of the programs call the library at 631-727-3228 x 100.
The programs are free and open to all.
