Shoreham Wading River defeated Bayport-Blue Point 51-33 at SWR High School last night.

The first half was sluggish for both teams which both had problems finding the basket, especially down low. The scoring was sparse and the first half ended in a tie at 23.

The second half was better for the Wildcats, as they began to find the basket and put together plays and passing against Bayport. Bayport looked overwhelmed, and Shoreham rode a 51-33 drubbing to the final buzzer.

Mikayla Dwyer led Shoreham with 13 points, and Michele Corona and Abby Kozekwinski each had 8 points. Shoreham is 12-6 overall, and 10-4 in conference.

It was also senior night, with Shoreham graduating two seniors, Erin Triandalfis and Mikayla Dwyer.
