A Domino’s Pizza delivery man was robbed as he attempted to deliver a pizza in Riverhead late last night.
Riverhead Town Police said the delivery man was delivering a pizza in the area of West Oakland Drive area at about 11 p.m. when he was approached by three males who forcibly removed an unknown amount of cash from him.
Police described the three suspects as black males wearing black sweatshirts. Riverhead police detectives were called to investigate. A K9 unit conducted a search of the area with negative results, police said.
The Domino’s Pizza employee was transported by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries sustained during the robbery, according to a police press release. The injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
