The owner of a Riverhead liquor store was arrested on charges related to selling alchohol to a minor yesterday during an undercover operation conducted by state police.
State police said Dan D. Xie, 37, of Deer Park, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Dealing with a Child in the First Degree and Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage. Xie is the owner of C&E Winemart on Old Country Road in Riverhead, police said.
State police also checked and found to be in compliance:

- Peconic Wine & Liquor on Old Country Road in Riverhead
- Empire Mini Mart on Old Country Road in Riverhead
- Mobil on Old Country Road in Riverhead
- Wine Depot on Old Country Road in Riverhead
- Lucky Liquors on West Main Street in Riverhead
