Navigating the rules and regulations of Medicare can frankly be a confusing labyrinth of paperwork and red tape. The Riverhead Free Library, in partnership with the Family Life Center and several other organizations is offering a free workshop to help new enrollees understand options Medicare offers. The workshop is scheduled for September 14 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This presentation will include Medicare basics and options presented by the library and the Family Community Life Center, in partnership with the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program’ Suffolk and the NYS Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage Program.

Many who are new to Medicare may not be aware of the resources available to assist them in making decisions regarding their health care options. This presentation will provide valuable information. At the conclusion, participants may have the opportunity to speak directly with program representatives.

This event is free to all but registration required for program (RVA661).
