Strong winds associated with a low pressure system moving through the region today prompted a wind advisory from the National Weather Service.
West winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph are expected from late morning through early evening, the National Weather Service said in an advisory Saturday.
Strong winds may down limbs, small trees, and power lines. Isolated to scattered power outages are expected, the weather service said.
Rain early this morning may be heavy in some locations. Skies will become mostly sunny this afternoon with highs around 60. Clear, windy and much cooler, with lows in the upper 30s.
