Riverhead Town Police arrested a man in connection with a burglary reported at the Tropical Smoothie Café on Old Country Road, according to a police media release.
Police said officers were notified at about 8 a.m. July 11 of a burglary at the Tropical Smoothie Café, 1080 Old Country Road, Riverhead. The burglary occurred at about 3:24 a.m., police said.
The Riverhead Detective Division assisted with the investigation, police said. At about 5:30 p.m. that day, detectives arrested William Donnelly, 45, in the Riverhead area, police said.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact the Riverhead Town Police Department at 631-727-4500. Police also ask anyone with information about suspicious or criminal activity to call the department’s Crime Hotline at 631-727-3333. Calls will be kept confidential, police said.
