Pulaski Street Elementary School students in the Riverhead Central School District made hundreds of Valentine’s Day cards for senior citizens.

Students form Pulaski Street Elementary School sent hundreds of Valentine’s Day cards for seniors at the Southampton Senior Center.

“The students at Pulaski really want seniors to know that they are thinking of them,” said library media specialist Amelia Estevez Creedon.

The project was part of the school’s monthly character initiative and part of a series of intergenerational library programs. Previously, the students have done storytelling projects and caroling.
