Open auditions for the play “The Agitators” will be held on Sunday, Jan. 16 and Monday, Jan. 17 at 6 p.m. at Vail-Leavitt Music Hall, 18 Peconic Avenue in Riverhead.
The show is based on the true story of the lifelong friendship between Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass.
The audition is casting two African American males aged 45 to 60 for the role of Frederick Douglass. The show also needs a violinist throughout the show who is an African American person aged 12 or older.
The show is presented by Boots on the Ground Theater and directed by Mark Heidemann.
