Advanced Orthopedics has opened a new office in Riverhead on Roanoke Avenue.

Physicians were joined in celebration by Supervisor Yvette Aguiar and Councilman Bob Kern. Aguiar presented Executive Director Tracey Smith with a certificate of appreciation to the facility.

“Medical facilities like this presented invaluable convenience to residents, particularly to our senior residential population,” Aguiar said. “This location provides an easy access to orthopedic or physical therapy solutions, and they contribute to the overall wellness and health of our residents and makes our area attractive to those in need of medical care.”

The facility includes a large number of exam and equipment rooms, and a basement filled with equipment to aid in physical therapy. Advanced Orthopedics also has offices in Patchogue and Stony Brook.

“PrecisionCare has over 50 physicians and [physician assistants] combined, representing every orthopedic specialty: sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, MRI. So it really has the ability to provide comprehensive orthopedic care,” Smith said. “Not only are we here in a reactionary way if you get injured, but we also work very closely with the community — and the athletic community in particular — to maintain somebody’s health and well being through our outstanding physical therapy and occupational programs.”
