Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two men they say stole a pocketbook from a shopping cart at the ShopRite supermarket on Route 58 in Riverhead July 15, then used the victim’s credit cards to purchase $2,000 worth of gift cards and an iPad from the Target store in Riverhead.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Riverhead Police Department released surveillance camera images of the two suspects as well as a close-up of a tattoo on the left forearm of one of the men.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about these incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, by using the P3 Tips app (download at the App Store or Google Play) or by visiting www.P3Tips.com.

All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential, police said.
