Marie Mugno of Riverhead died on Oct. 1, 2022 at Affinity Skilled Nursing in Oakdale. She was 83 years old.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1939 in Brooklyn to Stephen DiMartino and Pauline DeStefano. She earned a bachelors degree. She worked as an educator at St. Hugh of Lincoln in Huntington Station.
She was predeceased by her husband Harry. She is survived by her sons Harry, Michael, Richard (John) and Robert (Victoria), daughter Jennifer Caberry (Rick), grandchildren Madison, Taylor, Kaeleigh, Robert, Jacob, Leah and Daniel and siblings Randolph DiMartino and Josephine Milia.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery in Flushing.
