Riverhead Town Police are investigating a burglary at the CVS Pharmacy in Wading River that took place just after midnight today.

Police said in a press release they were called for a burglar alarm at the pharmacy at 12:13 a.m.

Responding patrol officers discovered an unknown male entered the front of the store, removed U.S. currency, and then fled from the scene.  

The Riverhead Police Department Detective Division responded to investigate.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is urged to call 631-727-4500 ext. 312. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
