Riverhead Recreation Department has launched a new online registration system in time for its spring/summer season registration.

DaySmart Recreation provides a streamlined online/website experience that will be easier to navigate, the recreation department said in an email.

Participants in town registration programs will need to create a new account and the department asks people who want to register online to create their new accounts in advance of the opening of registration, which begins March 20.

Create a new account here.

Recreation department staff will be available to help with new account set-up at the recreation department office, but setting up an account in advance will reduce wait times during registration.

Once an account is created, programs should be visible, but not available for registration until registration begins, according to the email.

Registration is available by phone, online and in-person beginning Wednesday, March 20 at 8:30 a.m.

The recreation department offices have moved to Riverhead Town Hall, 4 West Second Street, second floor.

Assistance is available by phone at 631-727-3200 ext. 205, 700 or 737.
