New York’s presidential primary election takes place today.
President Joe Biden, the Democratic incumbent and former President Donald Trump, the Republican challenger, have each already secured more than the required number of delegates to clinch their parties’ nominations.
New York’s ballots in both party primaries will display the names of additional candidates who ended their campaigns after the state’s filing deadlines: Marianne Williamson and Dean Phillips on the Democratic ballot; and Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie and Nikki Haley on the Republican ballot.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Voters can check for their polling place location at the N.Y. State Board of Elections website here.
