LIRR will continue grade crossing rehabilitation work this week in Riverhead.
Work crews turn their attention to the Osborn Avenue crossing again this week. Repair work on the siding track there will continue Tuesday and Thursday.
Osborn Avenue will be closed to traffic at the crossing from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Riverhead Free Library will remain open as usual both days. Tuesday is the library’s budget vote and trustee election, which will be conducted as scheduled. Osborn Avenue will remain accessible from Court Street and Main Street. The entrance to the library parking lot will remain open and accessible from Osborn Avenue, as it was during the presidential primary election last week.
Crews worked on the East Main Street crossing at Riverside Drive on Saturday and are back at work there this morning.

On Saturday, April 13, LIRR crews will be working on the Ostrander Avenue crossing.
Next Tuesday and Thursday, April 16 and 18, LIRR crews will be working on the Griffing Avenue crossing.
Besides detours on local roads, train service will be disrupted by the track work. Buses will replace trains from Ronkonkoma to Greenport on weekdays through mid–May, the LIRR said, due to ongoing track work across the LIRR system.
