The Riverhead Faculty and Community Theatre (RFCT) will stage The Foreigner, a two-act comedy by American playwright Larry Shue on Aug. 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18.
The plot unfolds in a fishing lodge in rural Tilghman County, Georgia, where two Englishmen, Froggy and Charlie, find themselves amidst a whirlwind of secrets and scandals. Froggy introduces Charlie as a ‘foreigner’ who doesn’t understand English, leading the lodge’s guests to reveal their secrets in his presence.
Performances on Aug. 9-11 will take place at the Jamesport Meeting House, 1590 Main Road in Jamesport. Performances on Aug. 16-18 will take place at the North Shore United Methodist Church, 260 Route 25A in Wading River.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Aug. 9, 10, 16, and 17, and 2 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 18.
