Excerpts from Riverhead Town Justice Court docket for the week of Jan. 27, 2025, Justice Lori Hulse presiding. There were 405 criminal and traffic cases on the court’s docket. Convictions reported here are misdemeanors or felonies and do not include violations, unless resulting from a charge of a misdemeanor or felony, or traffic infractions. Most felony cases are removed to Suffolk County Criminal Court for prosecution and are not included in this report.
Anderson, Demetria, 30, of Mastic, arrested on Feb. 6, 2024 on a charge of petit larceny, pleaded guilty on Jan. 29 and was sentenced to six months in jail, concurrent with a prior sentence, and fined $325.
Mahler, Richard T. , 34, of Mastic Beach, arrested on Dec. 12, 2024 on a charge of burglary in the third degree, and on Jan. 19, 2024 on two counts of petit larceny, pleaded guilty on Jan. 29 to three counts of petit larceny and was sentenced to eight months in jail and fined $975.
Olsen, James E., 32, of Centerport, arrested on Nov. 6, 2023 on charges of criminal mischief in the fourth degree and criminal trespass in the third degree, pleaded guilty on Jan. 27 to one count of disorderly conduct, and was sentenced to a conditional discharge of one year and fined $275.
Wimbush, Reaquan A., 27, of Commack, arrested on Jan. 30, 2024 and April 17, 2024 on a charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and on July 5 on a charge of petit larceny, pleaded guilty on Jan. 28 to one count of petit larceny and one count of facilitating unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge, and ordered to pay a state surcharge of $205; and was fined $310 on the conviction of facilitating unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.The second charge of aggravated unlicensed operation was dismissed.
