The Jamesport Fire Department’s giant summer parade took place Wednesday night, an annual event that draws participants from across the region.

The parade, featuring dozens of fire departments and EMS, and an assortment of community groups, stepped off on Main Road at Washington Avenue and wound its way to Manor Lane.

The Jamesport Fire Department carnival, another fun family favorite every summer, opened Tuesday and continues through Saturday night, when it closes out with a spectacular fireworks display at 10 p.m. The carnival is located on the grounds of the George Young Community Center on South Jamesport Avenue in Jamesport. it features rides for all ages, midway games, food and beverage vendors and more.

The carnival opens Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m.
