Northeast Stage will present Shakespeare’s Othello starting next week at parks across eastern Long Island, including on July 23 in Riverhead’s Grangebel Park.
The Shakespearean tragedy follows Moorish military commander Othello as he is manipulated by his ensign, Iago, into suspecting his wife Desdemona of infidelity in a plot to usurp him. The play is considered one of Shakespeare’s most popular and greatest plays.
