The Riverhead Police Department is seeking information about a commercial burglary in Calverton during the early morning hours today.
Police investigators determined by reviewing surveillance camera footage that an unknown male entered Wine Country Deli on Middle Country Road in Calverton at about 1:53 a.m. and removed cash from the register before fleeing the area on foot, according to a police press release.
The suspect was described by police as a male, thin build, wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, black sneakers, a mask and gloves.
The deli owner called police at 6 a.m. when he arrived at work and found an east side window broken. The owner told police that $325 was missing from the cash register.
